Does Your Family Think You Are Politcally Crazy

Well mine does, as a matter of fact I think they preface the answer to the question, "Oh, are you related to Carol Small", with "Why do you ask?", before answering yes or no. Mainly because Aunt Carol or Nana is pretty Politically savvy, or tries to be, and has some pretty fundamental opinions of what should and shouldn't be done by some of our local politicians; and voices that opinion in letters to the editor. Which usually results in my upsetting a lot of the local Politicians' long range plans for THEIR futures using Our Money. It amazes me how many enemies you can make by bucking local small town politicians. Was it Churchill who said, "If you have made no enemies in your life you have done nothing". I think it was Churchill, I remember the quote better than who said it.

I can be the best friend you could ever have, won't talk about you behind your back, won't steal from you, won't lie to you, will treat you the way I want to be treated, will be honest when you ask my advice and expect the same from you; and will be there when you need me the most. Now, finding friends today is not easy and in my opinion if you find 2 or 3 really good friends in your life, you are a very lucky person. Because honestly, most people don't meet the expectations of being the kind of friend to me that I am wanting to be to them. I consider myself to be honest to a fault, patriotic to a fault, and willing to challenge anything I think is wrong. From the way politicians approach and treat their constituents to what we see advertised on television.

I think many of my family members consider me to be a, how do they put that, oh yes, "a goody two shoes", not sure what that means, but if it means I don't drink much, don't smoke, don't do drugs, believe in God, try to help anyone I can, pay my bills and expect everyone should probably want to do the same thing; then I guess I am "a goody two shoes". Why they think I have never done anything wild in my life I do not know, perhaps it's because I just don't share that information.

At any rate, I wanted to start this Blog so I could converse with people about what is happening with our Country and not feel that I am an embarrassment. I was once a Utopian dreamer who has made the transition from Democrat Centrist to Republican Conservative to an Conservative Independent. I do not believe that all Democrats are wrong or evil and I do not believe that all Republicans are right and decent. I am quite honestly disappointed with all of them. And being interested in History in school more than anything else, I do not like what these politicians and we lazy American citizens have let happen in our country.

I appear at a rally on my own time and my own dime, I am not organized by anyone, and any organization I align myself with will not be funded by a politician; because I want them all to sit up and take notice. We, can change the direction our Government and Country are headed in one way only, by the BALLOT. We need to identify those in both parties who want to save this Country and want to stand up and be our current Founding Father Leaders and if they cannot do that then they "should get out of the way". We Want Our Country To IMPROVE Not "CHANGE" and Definately Not "Change" Into Something We Won't Even Recognize, Like Venezuela or Cuba.

So my Friends, If you still remember what they taught us in school back "in the olden days", including how proud you were to be an American and still believe we are a great Country; and You Happen To Notice Quite Often That Your Family and Acquaintances Go Blank Eyed When You Talk to Them About What You Believe In, Or Think, then join me and let me hear from you.

I am a fellow marginalized American, who Love's all of my fellow Americans; and I desperately need to feel that I am not alone out here in "crazy land".

You Youngsters Can Communicate With Me (Us, if I get anyone) As Well. I am a Grandma and I want only the Best For All Of You. As a matter of fact your opinions and questions are all welcomed. Even if they scare me (us) a bit we will help to rationalize them. America Needs You To Survive This. Ahhhhh, Believe It Or Not, We Were Once You, and Actually Still Remember Those Glorious Days.
